The solutions that we offer adjust extremely well to variations in the quality of the water to be treated and the quantity of the load that it contains. Our treatment units are integrated into sea containers or mounted on SKIDs thereby reducing production times, installation times on site and civil engineering costs.
Sheet metal work and welding of the hydraulic structures are performed directly inside the container. Waterproofing is ensured by a seal made of special coatings that constitutes a perfectly monolithic block. It prevents water from coming into contact with the structures. The Coatings’ properties are always chosen in accordance with the project’s specifics (Health compliance certificate, WRAS, aggressiveness of reagents or water, etc.).

Understanding how activated carbon adsorption works
Treatment
Activated carbon is one of the best existing adsorbents and it is also the most common. In powder form or granular, its very high porosity provides a significant contact surface for water.
Activated carbon filtration is based on this simple adsorption principle: natural concentration gradient (no reagents used), makes the substances to be removed stick to the carbon surface and remain trapped in the filter.

This technology traps a broad array of compounds: organic matter, heavy metals, pesticides, organic chemicals, the basic elements of taste and smell, cyanobacterial toxins, vinyl chloride monomers (VCM) or total organic carbon.
Process
Open filters or a pressurized closed filters may be used. In the latter case water under pressure moves through an activated carbon bed enclosed in a cylindrical vessel.
As for sand filtration, the treated water is collected via nozzles at the bottom of the pressurized vessel.
